For the second time in the agency’s history, Accounting Aid Society has been named a winner in Crain’s Best-Managed Nonprofit program, which honors the best in leadership and financial stewardship in Southeast Michigan’s nonprofit community. This year, Crain’s asked nonprofits to share how they are adapting their operations to continue meeting their missions in the age of COVID-19. After a record number of 29 applicants were interviewed by a panel of nonprofit experts and underwent a financial review by the nonprofit practice group at Plante Moran, Accounting Aid Society and Methodist Children’s Home Society were named winners based on our responses to the pandemic, and continuation and expansion of services despite it. Read more about the award and our response here.
