Summer Tax Program
Our Summer Tax Program continues through October 15 to help those who did not file for the economic stimulus payment (tax rebate). In addtion, we can assist low and moderate income residents who have past year returns or credits to file, and those who need to amend a return. Click here for details.

Early Bird Training for Tax Volunteers
Interested in being a tax volunteer in 2009? You can sign up now for early bird classes slated for October and November. Click for schedule details and online registration. Our regular volunteer training will be held in January 2009. Details will be available later this year.

2008 Annual Meeting and Volunteer
Celebrating a great 2008 tax season, more than 200 volunteers and supporters joined us at our Annual Meeting and Volunteer Tribute May 22 at Masco Corporation (continued below). 

 

 

Our Super Supervisors -- Among the celebrants were our hardworking supervisors (above) who volunteered virtually every Saturday to make sure our tax sites ran smoothly. Marshall Hunt, director of the tax assistance program, is standing in front, at left. Seated is Kathy Holka, coordinator of the homebound and summer tax programs. During the regular tax season, she also volunteers on Saturdays as the site supervisor for Accounting Aid's Northwest Activities Center tax service in Detroit.

Special partner awards were given to Matrix Human Services and Compuware Corporation. Three tax volunteers -- Kieko Terada-Tsukuda, Steven Gary, and Jennifer Stocking -- were honored for their outstanding contributions.
